Just as I left it

The Author of this post is Solomon Dejesus

Here in Nevada, just like everywhere else, times are hard. People are desperate, looking for an easy way to make a buck. It’s sad to think that people are so down on their luck and times are so difficult that the only option is to steal from others. To keep my home, belongings and family safe this year, I invested in a Las Vegas Home Security system. I know nothing beats common sense when it comes to home safety. Always lock your doors and windows and keep your garage door closed but it can’t hurt to take some extra precautions. Leaving your outdoor lights on at night and having timers on your interior lights can help make it look like you are home even when you are not as well. Now I just take an extra step when leaving and arm my system. When I return it’s as simple as pressing a four digit code to disarm the system and be reassured that my home and belongings are just as I left them!

Moving to Calgary

I am moving to Calgary Alberata  next month so I am desperately looking at Calgary Apartments.

I am a bit nervous about the cold since I am from warm climates, so I am looking at rental properties that look like they will stay warm in the dead of the winter. I absolutely terrified of freezing to death on some of those cold Calgary nights, so I will stay indoors as much as possible. Rentals are also cheap in Calgary so even with a nice place I will still have more disposable income left.

I just took a great job at a startup which has a new technology to melt driveway snow, and I need to be in Clagray before the snow starts since I am told it gets very difficult to move around once theres snow on the ground. I will be the software lead for the actual product that does the melting and this is a pretty big boost for my career.

Keep following my blog for updates on how my move goes and how I get used to adapting to the cold. I know some of you Calgary people will think I am weird for being so worried, but that is how I am nothing to do about it.

No More Office Job!

Contribution by Stevie Kirby

Starting my own web design company has been a lot of work but to be honest with you, it doesn’t really feel like “work” in the traditional sense. Working those 12 hour days in an office cubiclewas much harder to deal with than these struggles and I love working from home so far! The biggest hassle’s I’ve had up until this point is that when I get new clients I sort of struggle with how to seem more professional. My own business website still isn’t done yet and it was only last week that I set up http://www.bank-card-processing.com processing and got business cards! I guess starting your own thing is something that takes time to learn how to do well but I’m really excited to see where the next few months takes my professional journey. No matter what happens, it’s nice to be working for myself putting money in my OWN pocket rather than someone else’s you know what I mean? I guess that’s the whole idea when you start your own business!

What in the world

Guest post of the week by Moises Henderson

Having kids has been the biggest joy and the greatest hardship of my life. Before I got pregnant for the first time people talked about how “challenging” it was but no one really tells you that it’s going to take over your whole life! They’re both wonderful and I wouldn’t give them back for the world but I sure do wish I had been better prepared when I had them. I’ve had to change my whole life, from cutting back my hours to going to HomeSecurity101.COM/ to get an alarm for the house and even saving up money for two college funds! I try to be the best mom possible but it’s hard when you’re single and there’s not a lot of family around to help you. I hope when my kids get older they say I did a good job – I know they’re happy as two little clams now but who wouldn’t be with a room full of toys and a great school to go to everyday? They’ve got it made!

Winter at My Grandmother’s House

I appreciate the guest post, Vito Rivers

In the winter, my favorite place to go is my grandmother’s house. When it snows, I bundle up in my winter coat and boots. I wear a colorful, warm scarf and bring an extra pair of mittens. Before I leave, I make sure to set my home security alarm (Alarm Systems). Then, I make the journey to my grandmother’s house.

She has a large backyard with untouched snow. I first walk around, making tracks with my boots. I shiver when the wind bites my nose and cheeks. I roll a ball of snow around until it gets larger and larger, forming the base of a snowman. The snowman’s torso and head are smaller, and I struggle to lift them onto the base. I tramp through the woods for five long minutes until I find the perfect sticks for the arms. My grandmother always has a carrot ready for the nose, and small rocks create the snowman’s eyes and mouth.

Once finished with the snowman, I fall back into the snow and wave my arms around wildly. I carefully stand up to view my snow angel. Then, I go into my grandmother’s house and quickly shed my clothes. She has prepared hot chocolate for me, with tiny marshmallows that melt as I try to drink them. Every winter, I eagerly anticipate snowy days so I can visit my grandmother.

Buying uniform

For the first time, in a long time, I am getting ready to go to work at the hospital as a nurse. I’ve been out of work now for about two years and I feel like a child getting ready to go to her first day of kindergarten. I’ve bought all my scrubs, turned in my nursing licenses, and had my PPD test for Tuberculosis. I am so excited. I know my first day of work will be great and I will be hit with a great sense of accomlishment as soon as I walk in and see everyone walking around the hospital grounds in their lab coats.

There is nothing that says hospital more than the uniforms everyone wears to work. To some they are scary, but to me they are simply comfortable and familiar. In other wings the of the hospital there will doctors dressed in a green scrubs which is less scary but at the same time it just seems more clinical. If its been a long tough day for a doctor there may even be fluid stains on the scrubs. Luckily for me, I wear a bright cheery nurses uniform. I can’t wait to get my candy stripe look going and get back to work!

My Home – San Diego

My whole life I have always wanted to live in San Diego and I am really glad I got my piece of San Diego real estate when it was cheap. Now my home has appreciated in value, despite the recession, and when I am ready, I can sell my home and retire. If you want to move to or visit the greatest city in America, I could only recommend San Diego for you.

With its safe neighborhoods and close proximity to all things any body could ever need or wanted, the city of San Diego is an excellent place to live in. It is not nearly as expensive to live as Los Angeles or San Francisco and the weather is absolutely fantastic! There is so much to do and see from Sea World to the zoo to Old Town. The Beaches are absolutely stunning and in my opinion, they are the best in the entire state of California.

If you are thinking of relocating, there are great real estate deals to be had. Unbelievably, you can find some near beach properties for about $500k or you can live a bit further out of the city for even less. There are great jobs in the city. The city is a biotech hub, a military city and it has tons of jobs since it is one of the largest cities in the country.

There is also a lot of import/export business in the city due to its proximity to Tijuana Mexico. (Not just for the business side of things, but its great to be near Mexico just to have some fun). In summary if you want a great city that has many job opportunities, fabulous weather, pleasant living and low housing prices then San Diego is your next home. See you in San Diego!

Trade Show Displays

To be successful, the trade show exhibit must answer the visitor’s three key questions — who the exhibitor is, what they do, and why a visitor should spend time inside the exhibitor’s trade show booth.

Focus on the big picture of what you want to have happen at the trade show. In other words, keep your company’s trade show marketing goal in mind when planning trade show displays.

Avoid common trade show graphic mistakes, such trying to explain your new product on a truss by putting too much information in your trade show graphics –that is the job of your trade show booth staff.

Make sure your logo floor mats graphics are readable from a distance of 10’ away and from 8’ above. Be sure to design your Pipe and Drape and trade show booth with people in mind – what people will see when they approach from the aisle, what they see when they step inside the booth, and at the back wall.

Add excitement and pizzazz to your trade show booth exhibit booths by using color and movement. Avoid boring graphics.

Use appropriate models and messages that match your industry standards.

Pay attention to lighting – have a clean, well-light trade show booth as people are attracted to light.

Make your trade show booth the place to be – people want to be where the action is –and they want to be part of the action.

Remember, it’s up to you to decide what your trade show exhibit display will do to relay your company’s message. If you follow the above rules, you can have a successful trade show experience; whether you have a pre-owned trade show exhibit display, a custom trade show exhibit, a custom modular trade show booth, a portable or pop up trade show exhibit display, or a trade show display rental.

Everyone deserves a mortgage

Even with what happened in the subprime crisis, everyone still deserves a home and a mortgage and Advantage Home Rates is there to make that happen. It’s not as tough as people think to get a mortgage with bad credit, all you need to do is watch some interesting tutorials on how to get  an easy mortgage with terrible credit.

Even though the go-go days of subprime are over, cheap and affordable mortages can still be found and it is important to keep trying and trying and not give up until the right subprime mortage is found. People still need homes, and banks certainly still need to make money for their investors.

Many people who could barely afford rent or even the mortgage they had are now in much better straights. It definitely takes pereseverance to try to change the situation you are in and it could be done. Companies like Advantage are there to help, so there is never a need to feel down on your luck.

If you want a piece of the American dream or struggling to hold on to it, get in contact with a subprime mortgage company to see how they can help you get the home you truly deserve.

Purchasing online tickets

I’m always amazed when I meet a friend who wasn’t aware that they can buy football tickets and even the highly in demand  Camden Yards or Izod Center tickets online. Many of my friends  don’t know that just because the Stadium office says a game is sold out, doesn’t mean there are no more tickets available anywhere at all. There is no need to stand in long lines or camp out overnight anymore. You can now get tickets to just about anything online these days including Arco Arena tickets. And all you’ll need is a credit card and an Internet connection to logon to ticketamerica.com.

The internet has leveled the playing field, making it easier than ever before for anyone to purchase sold out, premium or hard-to-find event tickets. Since you don’t need to physically touch a ticket before you buy it, purchasing tickets online makes a lot of sense. The only things that differentiate various online ticket websites are trustworthiness, selection and price. I personally found acheapseat to be the best bargain with the most selection.

What kinds of tickets can I buy online?

You can buy just about any event tickets you can think of on the Web. You can get Palace Of Auburn Hills tickets, or any other football tickets

It used to be that you either had to wait in a long line right before the tickets went on sale, continue calling Ticket dealers or the boxoffices until you finally got through, or participate in some shady deal outside the venue or stadium with a scalper, chancing arrest. All of these options were less than ideal. There is no need to need to stand in the rain just for Madison Square Garden tickets, the TicketAmerica has changed the “game” around and you can tickets from the comfort of your home! Just log on and buy!
